Our new booklet - Information for people affected by road trauma (PDF, 1.9 MB) is for those affected by a road crash that has resulted in a death.

People who have lost a loved one in a road crash will be faced with a lot of hard decisions while also experiencing intense grief.

This booklet has information around:

• what happens after a crash
• practical things to think about
• compensation
• dealing with grief
• where to get help.

The booklet was put together with the help of those who have lived experiences or have lost someone to a road crash, as well as input from both SAPOL's Major Crash unit and the Road Trauma Support Team of South Australia.

This year has already seen too many lives lost on our roads, but we hope this new publication will help families, friends and those directly affected by road trauma.
