 Ian Edwards is a lecturer in criminal law and criminal justice. He joined the Law School in September 2001 having previously worked as a research assistant at Nottingham Law School, and before that as a tutor at Cardiff Law School and a part-time lecturer at the University of Glamorgan. His main areas of research are in the fields of criminal justice and sentencing. He completed his PhD on the participation of crime victims in sentencing processes and the Victim Personal Statement Scheme in 2002. At the moment, he is researching the use of "referral orders" for young offenders in England and Wales. He is also researching the relationship between psychotherapy and restorative justice.
